A Boston Marathon Qualifier
On-line registration (use the link above) is strongly encouraged for all runners and walkers. Registration is managed by the GBRC website, with no additional sign-up fees added for either members or non-members. The list of currently registered runners can be viewed following the Reg List link in the menu at the top of the page. Pre-registration will expedite the preparation and allocation of race numbers, allow us to post an entry list, expedite preparation of results, reduce time waiting in line in the cold and possible wind and rain on the morning of the race, and help the organizers ensure that adequate provisions are available for all athletes.
The on-line entry fee, for either race,
for athletes who are not members of GBRC, is $15 through Friday 9 February,
then $20 through Wednesday 14 February 2008. On-line registration closes at midnight on Thursday 14
February. Day-of-race registration will cost $25 US or $30 CDN - please bring exact funds, we will not make
change. Although is race is transitioning from GBRC sponsorship to Joel Pearson, GBRC members will be allowed
to run free this year, but are urged to pre-register on-line to simplify the race organization.
There will be no entry fee refunds or rain checks under any circumstances, including race cancellation for any reason whatsoever. Race entries are not transferable.
Any GBRC members and other athletes who are terminally resistant to pre-registration should download the entry and waiver form for day-of-race registration and complete it

Day-of-race registration and packet pick-up will be available at the start line of the marathon, or, in the event of snow, rain or wind, in the enclosed 'Wildlife Theater' located 100m inland of the south bathroom block, from 6:30 AM on race day.
If significant amounts of snow or ice create highly hazardous road traffic conditions the race will be cancelled. Notification will be posted on the race website in the event of cancellation. Cold, minor amounts of snow, windy and / or wet weather do not generally constitute reasons for race cancellation unless life-threatening. Please dress accordingly and use your own judgment in deciding whether to race in extreme weather conditions.
