GBRC General Meeting Minutes of 12-7-2003

After a wonderful pizza dinner, the meeting was called to order by President Len Parine. The slate of board members was announced and no more nominees were added from the floor. The members approved the board nominations for 2004 as follows:

President--Len Parine
Vice-President--Christy Fazio
Secretary--Carolyn Nordtvedt
Treasurer--Gale Pfueller
Web-masters--Bill Thibodeau and Rick Hill
Membership--Alta Stauffer
Technical Coordinator/Equipment Mgr.--Alison Allen
Newsletter--Vicki Griffiths
Events/Activities--Mary Steinberg, Christy Fazio, and Rene Wendt
Race Director Liaison--Tjalling Ypma
At-Large--Polly Favinger, Chuck Dooley, Kristin Moore and Paul Ricci

2003-2004 Highlights:

• Membership count--Membership has increased to over 600 members.
• Dues Increase--Dues will increase to $20 Individual, $30 Couple, and $40 Family
• Race calendar changes--The Barkley Trail run and Silver Lake run have been taken over by other groups. The Padden Mudfest and a Turkey Trot will replace these fall events. The Mudfest was held at the beginning of November this year and was very successful. The Turkey Trot will be held around Thanksgiving starting in '04.
• Race date change--Honeywagon Runs will move to the first Saturday in April.
• Application for exemption: Len explained that our club was seeking a 501-c3 non-profit corporation status for tax and legal reasons.

Next Meeting: January 19, 7PM, 4200 Meridian, ground floor (behind Quizno's). All members are welcome to attend.
